She does a marvelous job on a story that honestly twists and turns in such a splendid way and at one time had me so shocked that I listened to that part a couple of times to get over the absolute shock of what I had heard! I absolutely loved listening to Stephanie Racine’s narration of this novel.
All of that is revealed in due time in this unputdownable novel. But no matter how much Claire takes from her, Amber still loves her.Įven though you know everything that is going on based on what Amber is “remembering” you still know nothing that is going on! Even though you have a narrator of the past lives of Amber and Claire, you have no idea what happened with their lives. But Claire has always taken everything that Amber has ever loved or wanted. Though she suspects they have been having an affair, she just cannot prove it. Her sister Claire and her husband Paul seem to be very angry with one another, but she cannot remember why. If only she could remember what happened to her. Other parts, however, confuse her even more than the confusion she already suffers. What you think you know may not be real.Īlternating between present day, where Amber Reynolds in a coma and has no idea why, to the week before her accident, as well as her childhood diaries from 20 years before, this psychological thriller most definitely keeps you on your toes!Īmber can hear everything being said around her and parts of it make sense.She thinks her husband may be to blame.
